Graveside services for Elton L. Woodall, 91, of Liberty City will be10 a.m. Saturday, August 25, at Danville Cemetery with Reverend Paul Michael Vacca officiating. Mr. Woodall went to be with the Lord Friday, August 17, 2018 in Kilgore.
He was born August 25, 1926 in Kilgore to Pansy and William Woodall. Elton was a 1942 graduate of Sabine High School. Mr. Woodall served our country in United States Navy during World War II. Elton married Mozell Maxwell in January 1948. After returning from war, he earned his Machinist Degree from Kilgore College. Elton retired as an engineer for Gregg County. He was a longtime faithful member of First Baptist Church of Liberty City.
Mr. Woodall is survived by four grandchildren, Lisa Sanders of Kilgore, Kirstie Coon of Kilgore, Brant Biggs of Kilgore, Kyle Woodall and wife Katie of Kilgore; six great-grandchildren, Austin Hopkins, Ashley Sanders, Kaylee Coon, Aspen Woodall, Garrett Woodall, Journey Glass; son-in-law, Eddy Diggs of Kilgore; a sister, Flossie Mae Rabb of San Antonio; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years; a son, Elton Wayne Woodall; a daughter, Dianne Woodall Biggs; his mother; and his step-father, Benny Bishop.
The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home Friday, August 24, from 6-7:30 p.m.
