Elizabeth Jeannette Lowry was born in Houston on August 11, 1927. She is a kind and gentle woman and walks with her Savior and closest friend. His name is Jesus. This relationship shows by the love she shares with all those around her. Her Christian background is primarily in the Baptist and Methodist denominations. On March 7, 2017, she received that big promotion to her heavenly home where she now resides.
She was a Registered Nurse but mostly Care Giver by profession. As a child, she lived at West Columbia, Texas, then in Mission and Harlingen. Later in life, she moved to Kilgore to live with her cousin, Lois Rogers, who preceded her in going to her heavenly home. Over the last seven+ years she has lived at the nursing home now known as Arbor Grace in Kilgore.
A Memorial Service at Arbor Grace in Kilgore is scheduled for Saturday, March 11 at 2 p.m. A Going Home Farewell at Rusk County Memorial Gardens in Henderson was held Friday, officiated by Pastor Dudley Plaisance of Pirtle United Methodist Church.
Through her faith in Jesus Christ and her confession unto salvation here on earth, she can now sing a song in heaven that the angels cannot sing. That is the song of the Redeemed, the song of Amazing Grace!
