Burger chain sends lunch revenues for Hurricane Harvey relief

Friday’s lunch rush will be dedicated to Hurricane Harvey relief at Kilgore’s Whataburger.

From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 8, the Texas staple will donate 100 percent of its proceeds to the East Texas Food Bank for its Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.

The Kilgore location will be one of 32 East Texas restaurants donating to the fund.

In addition to Kilgore, other locations include Longview, White Oak, Bullard, Lindale, Mineola, Henderson, Tyler, Chandler, Gilmer, Jacksonville, Rusk, Crockett, Palestine, Athens, Malakoff and Gun Barrel City.
