Services for Abb Bryan Sadler Jr., 89, of Kilgore will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, August 8, at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Reverend Paul Michael Vacca officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Sadler passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at in Longview.
Abb was born on August 4, 1929 in DeSoto Parish, La., to the late Abb and Myrtis Sadler. Mr. Sadler served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He retired from Texas Eastman, where he worked as a welder for many years.
Abb was a faithful member of First Baptist Church Liberty City where he enjoyed volunteering his time to help with mission programs and loved his church family. He was a member of the American Simmental association and was on the board of directors for Gregg County Farm Bureau.
Mr. Sadler enjoyed traveling and was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and mentor who will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Dean Sadler.
Mr. Sadler is survived by his wife of 69 years, Peggy Sadler of Kilgore; daughter, Phyllis Ann Spearman of Lone Oak, Texas; son, Jerry “Glenn” Sadler and wife Cindy of Gladewater; grandchildren, Brandon Mizell and wife Beth, Whitney Sadler and Jessica Sadler; great-grandchildren, Maxmillian Orion Mizell, Daphne Ellen Mizell and Quade Taliaferro, and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members.
The family received friends at Rader Funeral Home on Tuesday evening between 6 and 7:30 p.m.
