Two more all-star teams from the Kilgore Boys Baseball Association extended their baseball summer over the weekend.

The 9-and-under all-stars and the 12-and-under all-stars each did well enough in their respective tournaments to earn berths in their age groups’ Dixie Youth Baseball state tournaments.

They join Kilgore’s 14-year-old all-stars, who had already clinched a berth a week or so ago.

It’ll be a break from all-star play this weekend, as things worked out, and then things heat up again the following weekend in state tournaments.

The KBBA’s 9-U all-star team reached the championship game at the district tournament in Henderson last weekend. Their state tournament is in Athens, and begins Saturday, July 7.

Members of the 9-U’s are Blade Chitwood, Kaeson Clayton, Kason Henry, Jaxon Herrin, Lucas Gage Nelson, Axel Drake Sipes, Kellen Michael Smith, Devin Tinney, Davis Randall Wayne Tryon, Gavin Shane Wall, Jarred Allen Westerman and Chase Michael Wilcox. Joey Chitwood, Danny Henry and Eric Smith are the coaches.

The 12-U’s played in their district tournament at Carthage last week, and advanced far enough to get the state trip. They’ll also be in Athens for state, and it also begins July 7.

The KBBA’s 12-U all-stars this year are De’Marion Brown, Zevin Dent, Eduardo Chavez Espinosa, Cutter Gaudet, Joseph Mack Hendrickson, Blake Jarrett Kelley, Jason Chance Kirk, Connor Pendergast, Zachery Paul Rowland, Cole Steele, Wesley Hayden Trebing and Bransin Lee Waller. Coaches are Robert Waller, Jason Brewer and Keon Pendergast.

The 14-U’s will play their state tournament in Center, but it doesn’t begin until Saturday, July 14.

This year’s 14-U all-stars are De’Quincy Brown, Cason Cox, Raymond Espinoza, Jace Scott Eubanks, Cooper Harrison, Kain Hogue, Trent Lopez, Gage Nichols, Jared Adam Rich, Brendon Shannnon, Brayden West, and Colby Ryan Wilkerson. Their coaches are Jonathan Cox, Thomas Wilkerson and Jason Harrison.
