Local Lotto winner keeps head down after Powerball pot

A pit stop turned into a seven-figure sum for a Kilgore resident last week.

The unidentified local’s overall Powerball prize topped the million-dollar-mark – $1,000,004, actually – through the Texas Lottery drawing Aug. 15.

The winning ticket-seller’s been ID’d as the Food & Fuel Stop on Stone Road.

With five correct picks, minus the red Powerball number, the big prize hit $1 million and the winner also nabbed another $4 on the same ticket.

If we knew, we’d tell you: richer and that-much-wiser, the local has opted to remain anonymous.
