The Lambda Alpha Sigma aviation fraternity at LaTourneau University held its Bi-Annual Fly In at Kilgore Community Airport last Saturday. Weston Cartwright, president of the fraternity said the fly in is held each semester. "We have a cook out and invite other students to come out and look at the planes," said Cartwright. "We also give rides, some students have never been in a small aircraft before." The airfield is owned by Dana Sneed, a teacher at Maude Laird Middle School and also a pilot. Sneed lets the students use the airfield for free and he also gave rides in his plane during the fly in. 025p1_xlg.jpg
