Students carried flags from the five branches and a Color Guard dressed as a continental soldier presented the colors. U.S. Rep. Louis Gohmert, R-Tyler, and State Rep. Tommy Merritt, R-Kilgore, were on hand to discuss the importance of military service and gratitude for those in service.
