As of Wednesday morning, there’s a fresh supply of rainbow trout in Elder Lake. Minus, of course, the unlucky few who found their way onto local anglers’ hooks. Four employees from Texas Parks & Wildlife delivered 2,917 trout to the Synergy Park amenity Dec. 19, an annual re-fill covered in large part by Kilgore Economic Development Corporation. This year’s drop-off drew a slightly-larger crowd than usual to welcome the lake’s newest residents. more
ETCOG announces a reduction in price of trip costs coming to GoBus riders. The cost of a one-way trip is dropping from $4 to $2 for all paying customers. The new fare structure was approved by the ETCOG Executive Committee this month and will go into effect on January 2nd. more
