There are currently two outstanding felony warrants for Jacob Swanson, according to the Gregg County Sheriff’s Office. “One of the charges is going to be an aggravated assault, family violence,” said GCSO Cpl. HENDERSON — The opening day of a trial in a fatal shooting on Christmas Eve 2017 in northern Rusk County ended abruptly Wednesday afternoon when the defendant entered a guilty plea and accepted a 40-year prison term after the prosecutor's staff found evidence linking the defendant to the murder weapon. more
