An Overton man remains in the Smith County Jail on murder charges Tuesday afternoon after witnesses said he stabbed his father to death on Monday. Smith County sheriff ’s deputies responded to a residence on FM 2089 in Overton Monday afternoon after dispatchers received a 911 about the stabbing.
