Strong revenue saves Kilgore from cuts

In a year where cities like Marshall are announcing job cuts to match plunging property tax revenues, Kilgore’s ability to stand pat is being hailed as a victory. The city’s budgeted expenditures are set to rise from an estimated $14.508 million in 2009-2010 to $15.3 million in 2010-2011.
