So, make a policy to name the streets ONLY from people who have Kilgore Roots. Such as: Wallace Fowler (Wally Fowler Band), Bob Luman, are two that I am aware of. Then contack the City of Lubbock - - They have just renamed a number of streets for the people who became famous that had grown up in Lubbock. They have done a really good job. They can tell you what names to stay away from to not get into having to pay royalties for the use of the name. But if you keep it to only local talent and if you only have one name - fine - perhaps more will come and you have it all in place. My address where I live has been changed 4 times. It just isn't that hard to do. I supose, as Lubbock has renamed streets to Buddy Holly Ave., Mac Davis Blvd., Glena Goodacre Avenue, to name a few. They all grew up in Lubbock.
