The previous comment I read

The previous comment I read that you received is filled with incorrect information. Chief Moore has not mishandled the budget. He had to use part time staff and over time employees to cover the two firemen that were not performing regular duties for almost two years recovering from the accident that occurred. In the new budget Stone Road will be able to open. The writer of that article is well aware of all this information. The remodeling played no part in any of this. There were safety belts available for the truck the day of the accident. The firemen know this. They did not seek to use them. The department has always had safety belts. It does not matter that the belts did not "come" with the new truck. Unhappy employees spread untruths that hurt others. Chief Moore has served the city over three decades. I feel the previous comment you received came from an employee that has numerous write ups in his employee folder and he just wants to lash out at the administration as a whole. Let the truth speak for it's self!

It’s time that the people of

It’s time that the people of Kilgore start asking questions of our local chief. How can they promote a person who has shot the budget again for the police and fire departments. Ask why the fire station on Stone Road is closed . They will say it is to remodel, guess again it’s because they are out of money for this budget and they can’t pay overtime if a person calls in sick. They do not have the money to pay for the remodel until the new budget and then it will still be closed for months. Ask why there is such a great turnover in both departments and people are actively looking for jobs in other cities. Also think about two firemen that were killed because they were not provided safety belts. This is just the RIGHT person to help lead the entire city... good job start asking questions

How about a raise for fire

How about a raise for fire and police?
