Feds unveil national strategy to combat child porn

BEAUMONT – Arrests in Gregg and Smith Counties of men charged with crimes connected to child pornography were featured in an announcement this week of a U.S. Marshals national strategy to address child exploitation.

It won't work. With networks

It won't work. With networks like Freenet (freenetproject.org) and Tor (torproject.org) it's not possible. You cannot have legal strong encryption *and* censorship of any kind. It's just not technically feasible. Most people do no understand this concept.

Isn't it obvious that the people who get jobs working with kids are most likely pedophiles? make it a requirement that ALL people who work with children have to agree to have their homes, cars, and computers searched randomly. To hell with the 4th and 5th amendments...we have to protect THE CHILDREN!!!

Anonymous, it's unfair and inaccurate to say that the people who get jobs working with kids are most likely pedophiles. I know hundreds -- maybe thousands -- of teachers, Sunday School teachers, vacation Bible school workers, babysitters, pre-school workers and I'd bet my last paycheck that almost none of them were or are pedophiles. -- Editor

This is just an excuse to grab power by the FBI/ICE. The technologies they use will be more likely to enforce ACTA/CALEA than to 'Save The Children' or prevent terrorism. Besides, networks like Freenet (freenetproject.org) and Tor (torproject.org) make their job somewhat impossible.
