Area law enforcement agencies made progress on two separate homicide cases reported Tuesday afternoon along the Sabine River in Gregg County. James Nathan Alexander, the suspect charged with murder in the death of Barnett, surrendered at the Sheriff ’s office Thursday afternoon, Capt. Mike Claxton, spokesman for GCSO said in a statement.
