Rain clears way for fireworks

Local Fourth of July celebrations are still on, thanks in part to the recent rainy weather. Gregg County Fire Marshal David Kidder said this is the best shape the area has been in for fireworks he’s seen in several years. “The rains hit at just the right time to make it safer for fireworks over the Fourth of July weekend,” Kidder said.
