Despite the recession, the ornamental bedding plant industry is doing quite well, and by association so is the East Texas Horticultural Field Day at Overton, said a Texas AgriLife Research scientist. This year, the field day is set for June 24 at the Texas AgriLife Research and Extension Center at Overton.
