all a curfew will accomplish

all a curfew will accomplish is to send our youth out on the road a night to longiew and tyler who wants that?and

This is a joke youth curfews

This is a joke youth curfews never work. Do you think that someone that is going to commit a crime is worried about being caught out by a curfew. No this will only hurt the innocent. Here is a study of analysis of curfew enforcement. http://wcr.sonoma.edu/v1n2/males.html Here is the results if you don't wish to read the whole report: Statistical analysis provides no support for the proposition that stricter curfew enforcement reduces youth crime or risk of violent fatality either absolutely or relative to adults, by location, by city, or by type of crime. Curfew enforcement generally has no discernible effect on youth crime. In those few instances where a significant effect is identified, it is more likely to be positive (that is, greater curfew enforcement is associated with higher rates of juvenile crime) than negative. I will leave it to our city leaders to even justify why we need this and it better be compelling data. I will leave you with this: Although young people are subject to a large number of restrictions based upon age, the judicial system has a long precedent for people having full constitutional rights regardless of age. The Supreme Court has long recognized that the rights of freedom of speech and assembly go hand in hand. In order to voice opinion, it is sometimes necessary to gather protests, and the only way to accomplish this is if there is freedom to gather in public as long as it is peaceful. The fourteenth amendment also guarantees that state and local governments cannot take away first amendment rights.

Joke said, "...this will only

Joke said, "...this will only hurt the innocent." If you are out past curfew without a responsible adult, how are you innocent?
