Former Longview teacher jailed for child porn

A former Longview band director has been sentenced to federal prison for child pornography violations in the Eastern District of Texas. Albert Slatter Jr., 59, of Longview pleaded guilty on Oct. 27, 2009, to possession of child pornography and was sentenced to 36 months in federal prison Wednesday by U.S. District Judge Leonard E. Davis.
