Kilgore College Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will host two QuickBooks courses for small business owners and managers titled "Quick- Books for Small Business Owners and Managers” (Level One and Level Two).

QuickBooks Level One is scheduled for Monday through Thursday, April 19- 22. QuickBooks Level Two is set for Monday through Thursday, April 26-29. Classes will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. at KC-Longview, Computer Lab 105, located at 300 South High Street.

According to Melanie Northcutt, training coordinator, students taking this course will first explore the basic principles of settingup and using computerized record keeping programs with an emphasis on the needs of small business owners/managers.

“Attendees will be seated at individual computers as the 2010 version of Quick- Books is examined as an example of computerized bookkeeping systems,” Northcutt said.

Brad Bunt, director of the SBDC, said the courses are designed to give the small business owner the same tools as larger companies at a fraction of the cost.
