KISD candidates prepare for election

Seven candidates are squaring off for three places in the upcoming May 8 general school board election in Kilgore. PLACE 5 JANET MARLEY With all places contested in the upcoming Kilgore Independent School District Board of Trustee race, Janet Marley, Place 5, is the only incumbent in the race.

Thankyou for posting the article on the upcoming shcoolboard. I am especially grateful that Janet Marley has a website so we can communicate with her on issues. This is what I feel is most important, as a parent and tax payer I appreciate someone who is willing to communicate with "we the people" since we really are the school board mambers employer. I feel Mrs Marley grasps this and it is refreshing.She has done an excellent job thus far.

What a good thing it is to have a slate of concerned, qualified, and dedicated school board candidates. That isn't always the case with state and national elections. Our children have been educated here, and we are thankful to have such a good school system for future generations.

If quotation marks are used,

If quotation marks are used, the information inside those marks should be exactly what was said. Les Murray did not get all of these quotes from me. Some of the information in my profile is correct, but some of it is skewed due to the inaccuracy of the quotes. If the News Herald wants to show candidate positions on issues, it should use a standard Q & A format where each candidate's responses are exactly quoted in response to the exact same questions posed to each candidate.
