When JP Sam Lawson opens the Gregg County commissioners court, it’s enough to make a Christian want to pray a little longer. In a deep and commanding tone, the Pct. 4 justice of the peace invoked the Almighty’s blessing on the proceedings when called on by county Judge Bill Stoudt to open a recent regular scheduled meeting.
