Author and columnist Van Craddock enlightened the Kilgore Lions Club on Thursday about Texas Independence Day. Craddock, a native of Gladewater, has written several books about Texas and has a column in the Longview News Journal. His wife, Betty, is an instructor at Kilgore College and his son Chris is the public information officer at Kilgore College.
