With five felony convictions under his belt, Johnathan Bernard Morgan got the book thrown at him for carrying a gun. The Dallas resident was sentenced to 12 years in prison Thursday in Judge J. Clay Gossett’s 4th District Court in Henderson. A Rusk County jury found Morgan, 41, guilty of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
