No more chip seal paving for city streets

Residents can expect relief from the cobbled surface left by the old chip seal paving. The city will not be doing any more chip seal for the time being, said Tim Hobbs, the City of Kilgore street superintendent. Hobbs presented his 2010 major pavement repair plan for almost 60,000 square yards of street repairs to the city council Tuesday night.
