Chandler St. construction project gets green light from city council

School traffic congestion will get some relief from a Chandler Street construction project that got the green light from Kilgore city council Tuesday night. The major purpose of the project is to improve traffic flow around the neighborhood’s schools - Chandler Elementary, Maude Laird Middle School and Kilgore Intermediate, said city manager Jeff Howell.
