State Rep. Chuck Hopson was recently fined $2,900 by the Texas Ethics Commission, according to ethics commission records. The commission released findings in response to two separate complaints against Hopson for rules violations. Findings for one complaint brought a $1,600 fine and the other brought a $1,300 fine.
