KILGORE – Employees of Ana-Lab Corp. are now owners of 100 percent of the corporation. Dr. Charles H. Whiteside, founder and president of the Kilgorebased organization, signed papers in December, providing employees the final 30 percent of the organization.

While a change in ownership of Ana-Lab has taken place, no changes have been made nor will be made in management of the organization. Dr. Whiteside remains as president with Bill Peery, Jr. the executive vice president and chief operating officer. Debbie Dudley continues as director of business administration and chief financial officer.

“I do not want anyone to interpret this as my retirement,” Whiteside said. “I plan to continue with the business just as I have in the past years.”

Ownership of the corporation has been passed to employees in four stages. Beginning in 2005, he gave employees 30 percent of the organization. This was followed in 2007 with an additional 20 percent transfer in ownership. The jump from 50 to 70 percent took place in 2008.

There are 500,000 shares of Ana-Lab stock, which are privately held. Through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), the transfer of ownership has made some 80 employees of Ana-Lab stockholders.

Ana-Lab has 110 employees, including 97 in the Kilgore office and the remaining in regional service centers in Amarillo, Austin, Dallas, Houston and Brownsville in Texas as well as locations in Madison, AL,; Shreveport, LA,; and Norman, OK.
