Cell phone use in school zones being widely ignored

It may not be the most widely ignored rule in town, but motorists are – at the very least – cavalier about the ban on cell phone use in school zones. A Kilgore News Herald reporter sat in the Chandler Street school zone Wednesday afternoon and saw about two dozen drivers – including the driver of a city water department truck -- engaged in phone conversations.
