Bill White for governor: early Christmas for Texas Democrats

In endorsing Houston Mayor Bill White for the Democratic nomination for governor, Austin Mayor Lee Leffingwell said it’s time to end Texas’ long Democratic drought. “It’s a great night to be a Texas Democrat!” Leffingwell shouted to a raucous, upbeat crowd in Austin’s Scholz Garten Sunday evening.
