Still time to enter Overton/New London Christmas Parade

Several have already signed up and all are invited to join the lineup for the Overton New London Area Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade, set for 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, in downtown Overton.

Mary Pat Eaves, chamber secretary, said organizations, churches and businesses are welcomed and there is no cost to enter.

Already signed up to parade through town are the KC Ranger Band and Rangerettes, scout groups, the VFW and Star Makers Dance Troupe, along with floats by the Friends of the Library, Overton Missionary Baptist, Brookshire’s and the Kilgore Ag Club.

This year’s theme is “Gifts of the Season.” Awards will be give for the best commercial and non-commercial float entries.
