UPDATE: Memorial for child killed by Pit Bull will be moved

Memorial has been on property leased by family that owned the dog

A memorial to Justin Clinton, killed by a bulldog last summer, will be moved after a ceremony Saturday morning.

The ceremony will be across from the Leverett's Chapel school at 9:30 a.m. Justin's family issued a press release Friday saying the family that owned the dog have asked that the makeshift memorial be moved from the property they lease.

Justin was 10 years old when he was attacked and killed by the dog - an American Pit Bull -- on June 15.

Justin's mother, Serenia Clinton, said she has been told Rusk County District Attorney Micheal Jimerson is trying to find a location for a permanent memorial.
