Dr. Charles Florio speaker for Coterie Club

The Coterie Club of Kilgore met on Oct. 22 in the home of Kay Yates, whose home featured seasonal touches with pumpkins and Halloween decor. Hostesses Betty Mobley and Helen Padgett prepared a lovely array of food including sausage wheels, pumpkin muffins, quiche and fruit.

The meeting was called to order by President Brenda Maxwell. Sue Lynn Florio introduced her husband, Dr. Charles Florio, who gave the program. His topic was “Wheels Make the World Go Around” in keeping with this year’s Coterie theme. Dr. Florio discussed the importance of transportation in the world and the economic concepts involved.

The meeting was adjourned with the reading of the Club Collect by Martha Whitehead.
