Kilgore Christmas Parade applications still being taken

Applications to enter Kilgore’s 79th annual Christmas Parade are now available at the Chamber of Commerce.

The parade is set for 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, and the theme this year is “A Cowboy Christmas.” Entry fee is $25.

Award certificates will be given to the top three entries in both non-profit and business categories for Most Original and Best Use of Theme.

The parade will follow its traditional route, beginning on East Main, near First Presbyterian Church, and traveling west to North Kilgore Street, where the route turns north toward Lantrip Street and ends.
