Kilgore woman escapes injury in house fire

A Kilgore woman was forced from her home on Thursday morning when her house caught fire. Alberta Wilbanks, 96, was at home with her caregiver when they found the fire, said Wilbanks’ pastor, James Boatman of First Pentecostal Church. Boatman said no one was injured in the fire and that Wilbanks will stay with friends until her family arrived in town.
