It was a tournament 67 years in the making. Meadowbrook Country Club played host to its first Kilgore city tournament since 1942 last weekend, complete with the restoration of the tournament’s original trophy to the club’s trophy case. And fittingly, it was a multi-time Meadowbrook champion, Mike Tate, who won the tournament.
