PEARL CROCKER

Pearl Crocker, 84, of Palestine, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2009, in Palestine. She was born December 1, 1924, in Mountain Park, Oklahoma, to her late parents, William Robert Stephenson and Roxie Lee Brackeen Stephenson.

Pearl was a former longtime resident of Baytown, received an LVN Degree from Lee College and worked at Gulf Coast Hospital and San Jacinto Methodist Hospital before retiring. She had also worked at Weingarten’s. She was a former longtime member of First Baptist Church in Baytown and was a member of Cedar Bayou Lodge #11 Order of the Eastern Star.

Mrs. Crocker was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Swin Crocker; and a daughter, Claudine Dean.

Survivors include her daughters, Katherine Cofer of Gilmer; Judy Barrilleaux and her husband Lionel of Buffalo, and Nelda Davis and her husband Mike of Jewitt; one step-son; two step-daughters; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, greatgreat grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, September 19, 2009, at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Casey D. Froelich officiating and a graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. at the Kilgore City Cemetery in Kilgore.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 18, 2009, at the funeral home.
