Former NFL official to speak here

A former National Football League official is scheduled to speak here in Kilgore at the monthly fellowship breakfast at St. Luke's United Methodist Church.

Duwayne Gandy, a 1954 graduate of Chapel Hill High School who is now retired after a career as a side judge in the NFL, will be the keynote speaker at this month's breakfast, to be held at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26, in the church's family life center.

Gandy, a former Tulsa standout in both baseball and football, served in the Army and also coached and taught at Chapel Hill High. He now lives at Hideaway Lake.

St. Luke's invites the community to come out and share in good food and fellowship, and to hear the program Gandy will present.
