Harder times force new demands on Helping Hands

Some might say this country is in a recession, but no matter what it's called, people are in need of more community services such as Helping Hands of Kilgore. With two-thirds of the year gone, Helping Hands has already spent $44,000 on food, compared to $23,000 this time last year, according to Susie Prater, director of Helping Hands.
