LAIRD HILL FIRE

2009-08-05 / News

In Laird Hill Monday evening, the trailer house, car and all of Stormie Chasten's belongings went up in smoke. The home, located at 12667 CR 2012 and owned by Walter Walkers, was a complete loss. Chasten's mother said she saw smoke coming from behind the home when she picked up her daughter for church at 5:30 p.m. The Kilgore Fire Department sent one truck and four men, who got the fire under control in 20 minutes, according to the fire chief. No injures were reported, but they are still looking for the family pet, a wiener dog.
