City councilmen have continued to hammer out details of the coming year's budget during two workshops held during the past week. During their July 23 workshop, the council discussed at length whether employees will receive "step raises" or one-time "salary supplements" and it appears city fathers will approve the latter in order to save more than $120,000 in 2009-2010.
