Kilgore Fire Department Operations Chief Dennis Gage (left) looks to make a throw in a just-for-fun softball game played Friday at Driller Park between the city's fire department and the police department. Things didn't work out so well, scorewise, for the fire department, as the PD took an 18-3 win. Gage doubled as the fire department's coach, while the police's team was coached by Lt. Tony Stone. The crowd had a ball with the game, a 35- minute contest played right before the East Texas Pump Jacks took the field.
