KENNETH SHERRON BROWN Services for Dr. Kenneth Sherron Brown, 70, of Kilgore, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2009, at Chandler Street Church of Christ with Chris Vidacovich officiating. Burial will follow at Danville Cemetery. Born June 9, 1939, in Wichita Falls, Dr. Brown died July 22 at his home. He was an active member of Chandler Street Church of Christ. As a Professor of Operations Management & Research, he taught in the schools of Business and Mathematics at several colleges, including the universities of Mississippi, Texas, Arkansas and Nebraska, as well as at various community colleges and high schools, most recently Kilgore High School. He was a man who deeply loved his family, and he enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. Other pastimes included hunting, walking, playing with his dogs and writing poetry. He is preceded in death by his parents, Earle Robert and Alice Jewell Brown, and sister, Gwendolyn Ruth Brown. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Brenda Brown of Kilgore; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Bonnie Brown of Roanoke and Kenneth Earle and Carrie Brown of Calgary, Alberta- Canada; daughter and son-in-law, Shera and Chad McNeely of Jefferson; brother and sister in-law, Robert and Nancy Brown of Amarillo; eight grandchildren; and many other loving family and friends.
