Jeff McBryde blasts out of the trap on the sixth hole Friday during the Meadowbrook Classic at Meadowbrook Country Club. McBryde, with teammates Jess Stephens,Scott Montgomery and John Patterson were in the first flight. The Classic dates back to 1937 when Bill Clark, from Gladewater, won with a score of two over par. Rick Maxey, from Tyler has won the tournment four times, including last year when he finished at eight under.
