KC GETS NEW ENDOWMENT

2009-07-11 / Front Page

Pat Brown, treasurer of Laird Memorial Hospital Auxiliary signed a check for $20,000 Wedneday. The Auxiliary has essentially ceased to exist since the closing of Laird Memorial Hospital and the check empties their organization's bank account. Above, David Wylie, director of development at Kilgore College, accepts the check from Brown, left, and Winnie Nix, right, Auxiliary president. The money will endow a permanent scholarship fund for students in health-related studies at the college.
