MARTHA BETH JETER ROGERS

Memorial services for Martha Beth Jeter Rogers, 91, of Hemet, California, will be 1 p.m. July 17, 2009, at Green Hills Memorial Park, Rancho Palos Verdes, California. She passed away July 2, 2009, at Devonshire Care Center in Hemet. Before moving to Hemet she was a longtime resident of Wilmington, California.

She was born September 13, 1917, in Kilgore, Texas. She was the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O.M. Jeter. Martha was a graduate of Kilgore High School and Stephen F. Austin University.

She was preceded in death by her parents, O.M. and Myra (Stephens) Jeter; siblings, Zirkle, Melvin, Carl, Wayne, Louise and Jack Jeter; her husband, Enoch Rogers; and a nephew, James L Jeter.

She is survived by her daughter, Martha Louise Tippins, of Menifee/Sun City, California; her son, Kenneth Rogers and wife, Norma, of Wilmington, California; two granddaughters, Jamie J. Rogers, of Rancho Palos Verdes, California, and Cherie Blossfield of Menifee/Sun City; a brother, John T. Jeter of Longview; nephews, J.T. Jeter III of Gilmer, Jim Jeter of Jackson, Mississippi, Bob Jeter of Longview, Donald Jeter of Gilmer, Jack Jeter of Hallsville, Carl L. Jeter, Jr. of Tyler; nieces, Theresa Jeter Carroll of College Station, Jayne Jeter Green of Austin, Llynelle Hatfield of Pasadena, Texas, Sheryl Jeter Graham of Zavala, Marlene Jeter Rich of Woodville, Carla Jean Jeter Dix of Fullerton, California, and Myra Lynn Jeter Perrine, of Redding, California; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association or a charity of your choice.
