U.S. Forest Service to offer Access and Senior passes in Longview
      Two of the most popular recreation passes the U.S. Forest Service offers will be available in Longview on Wednesday, July 22. The America the Beautiful Access Pass (for persons with disabilities) and the America the Beautiful Senior Pass (for those age 62 and older) will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Longview Mall, in front of Dillard's.

Genealogical seminar planned
      ATHENS — An all day genealogical seminar will be held Saturday, Aug. 8, in the Hart-Morris Conservation Center at the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center. National lecturer and author Desmond Walls Allen will be the featured speaker, and her program will be titled "Preserving Your Family Papers, Photographs and Heirlooms.
