Hot Dogs- it's Fourth of July
      IN THE PAST, on Independence Day, I made it my mission to find the best hot dog in East Texas. My trek has carried me as far away as Gilmer, and though I do remember a time cotton candy stopped me in Gladewater, the quest for hot dogs usually has kept me in the area of Kilgore and Overton.

      Mont and Suzanne Roper of Kilgore announce the birth of their daughter, Marlie Jean Roper. Born May 29, 2009, at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler, Marlie weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces and was 20 inches long. She was welcomed home by her sisters, Bethani, Eliza and Keelie.
