Camp takes over as president
      Sammy D. York ended 12 months as Kilgore Rotary Club president with heartfelt thanks for a lot of support during the past year, and Jerry Camp took over as leader of the local club on Tuesday night with a bag full of goals for local Rotarians to reach this year.

SPINNING SOME YARN
     Texas storyteller Shelly Kneupper Tucker spun some tales and a little yarn as well on her spinning wheel at the Kilgore Community House on Wednesday. In town thanks to Kilgore Public Library and a grant from the Texas Commission on the Arts, Tucker told the kids she learned about spinning and weaving from library books and she encouraged them to read for fun and for knowledge. Tucker shared tales of wisdom with the children and told youngsters what their duties would have been in days past when it came to the art of spinning thread and weaving cloth.
